Only if, and when, he chooses to do so. Now if you want to make that decision for him, organize a movement to STOP paying insane ticket prices to see the "Rock Star", who is far past his prime. If the money stops rolling, Bobby stops rocking.

Now Phil is another story altogether. Even though he is older than Mr. Weir, he seems to be coming into his prime as a performer. He must be using "Loving Care" hair products. He's not getting older, he's getting better.

I am listening to last night's Tower show. The harmonies in the Wheel tell me a firm NO! His slide in the opening of Black Peter, & the vocals following tell me the same thing, only in a stronger form....

He's playin' great these days: http://www.archive.org/details/furthur2011-03-18.mk4.taraszki.flac24 as an example. There's a review posted here (Rosemary, etc.). check it out & make your own mind up.

Totally agree. Wait until you hear tonight's show (20th). SDSt. First set Good Lovin'(Bob) and Wharf Rat (JK). The first Furthur All Along the Watchtower (Bob). The Ripple encore with Bob and John trading lines was an excellent ender.

I ran into Jerry Horan, the drummer for Splintered Sunlight at the show.

Bobby's voice is absolutely shot !!! That is what I see as the problem. You'll never get him to retire though.

No but he should shave that damn beard off, though (to drag a discussion from Lossless Legs over here...).
